NRG Oct 2026 · Strong Buy
NRG Energy Inc. warrants a Strong Buy rating with a composite intrinsic fair value of $222.36 per share, offering 112.06% implied upside from the share price of $104.86 as of October 7, 2026. While investors must navigate elevated balance-sheet leverage of $16.77B in total debt and an intensive $3.2B capital cycle through 2029, the market trades NRG at just 9.03x forward earnings. This steep 52.84% discount fails to reflect the company's customer-backed 1.2 GW data center buildout at $85-$90+/MWh, management's 14%+ core EPS CAGR objective through 2030, and ongoing annual share repurchases of at least $1.0B.Latest published research · analyzed 2026-10-07 · current · sources aging
