VLO Oct 2026 · Sell
Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE: VLO) is rated Sell with a fair value midpoint of $314.88 per share, representing an implied return of -22.5% and a 29.0% market price premium relative to its current share price of $406.30 as of October 2, 2026. While Valero commands a narrow economic moat grounded in high Nelson complexity and heavy crude processing cost advantages, current equity valuations price in an unsustainable continuation of peak Atlantic Basin refining crack spreads, overlooking structural cyclical margin compression and higher capital reinvestment needs.Latest published research · analyzed 2026-10-03 · current · sources aging
