MO Oct 2026 · Reduce
Altria Group Inc. (MO) is maintained at a Reduce rating as current trading levels ($75.11 as of October 16, 2026) reflect a 21.9% price premium over mid intrinsic fair value of $61.61, leaving investors with an implied return of -18.0%. While Marlboro pricing power continues to sustain near-term cash generation, secular combustible cigarette volume contraction (-4.5% trade-adjusted in Q2 2026), consumer trade-down into discount brands (33.8% category share), and execution roadblocks in modern smoke-free platforms create an unfavorable risk/reward profile.Latest published research · analyzed 2026-10-18 · current · sources aging
