Under severe macro softness, ADI's automotive and industrial segments stall. Without the 27.1% Year 1 revenue rebound, operating leverage works in reverse, compressing EBIT margins below 30%. Terminal multiple reverts to 14x, pushing fair value toward the $135 downside extreme.
If Year 1 revenue growth meets the >25% estimate, baseline cash flow thesis holds but remains overvalued. If growth misses, fair value drops immediately toward $135.

Mature phase. Heavy reliance on disciplined capital allocation. Current market pricing incorrectly implies an early-stage hyper-growth pivot.
Bull cycle
Accelerated electrification and industrial automation drives short-term capacity bookings and premium pricing power.
Bear cycle
Inventory indigestion and macro tightening lead to sharp order cancellations and prolonged destocking across the analog space.

Sizing
Zero exposure. The massive divergence between intrinsic value and price mandates avoiding long exposure.

Base view
Sell
The intrinsic cash flow reality is entirely detached from the market's current hyper-growth pricing. A 47% downside gap to the $208.81 fair value midpoint demands an immediate exit.
§14 Final recommendation
Action
Sell
ADI is rated Sell at $416.52 versus the reconciled fair value midpoint of $208.81, implying -49.87% upside/downside.
At $416.52, the stock is measured against the final $208.81 midpoint and -49.87% upside/downside, so new capital should respect the report margin-of-safety discipline.

Early-warning signals to monitor
The five developments that would weaken our investment case.
Prolonged inventory overhang at distributors leads to price discounting and underutilized factory capacity, suppressing manufacturing absorption and reducing core product gross profitability across automotive and industrial segments.
Severe operating margin contraction indicates that reverse operational leverage from unabsorbed manufacturing capacity and fixed operating costs is eroding corporate earning power during an extended industrial downcycle.
Failure to achieve a robust cyclical rebound in automotive and industrial markets leaves manufacturing footprint bloated, undermining top-line scale and delaying overall financial recovery.
A persistent drop in capital productivity signals that ongoing manufacturing investments are failing to produce sufficient operating profit expansion, destroying economic value and dampening long-term returns on reinvested capital.

Our primary Forward Earnings models synthesize to $208.81. ADI achieves near-term cyclical recovery, but the market's implied 27.5% 10-year growth rate proves mathematically impossible for a mature dividend payer, triggering a correction.
