Valuation lens weighting
Glossary version 2026-07-12.v1 · reviewed July 12, 2026
The internal weighting used to reconcile applicable valuation lenses before publishing one Fair value and one Potential value.
Applicable valuation lenses are reconciled with archetype-specific weights: hyper-growth names lean on forward earnings with restrained terminal multiples; mature compounders use cash-flow and earnings lenses; financials lean on residual income and price-to-tangible-book; cyclicals use through-cycle multiples; and capital-intensive industrials lean on EV/EBITDA after maintenance capex. The public result has exactly one house conclusion: Fair value, the calculated midpoint. Potential value is the separately labelled high endpoint. Private calibration diagnostics and the low endpoint never become competing public valuation targets.
