High operating margins reflect the strong proprietary pricing power of companion animal diagnostic systems. Margin slippage signals escalating competitive pressure or aggressive discounting on instruments and assays, undermining operating leverage and dampening corporate profitability.
Current:31.6% for the period ended 2025-12-31
Alert ifFalls below 30.0% over two consecutive quarters
The core razor-and-blade business model relies on high-margin diagnostic consumable test volumes running on an expanding installed instrument base. Reduced veterinary clinic patient traffic cuts recurring consumable purchases, slowing top-line expansion and eroding the recurring cash generation profile.
